Tony Shore graduated with an MFA at Yale University School of Art and
a BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art where he is now a Professor. He also
studied at the prestigious Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He is a winner of both the Sondheim
Prize and the Bethesda Painting Prize, as well as a number Maryland State Arts Council
Individual Artist Awards. His work has been shown in museums and galleries in the United States and
France.
Tony is a member of the Elkridge-Harford Hunt Club in
Monkton, Maryland. When not riding, he can often be found hilltopping with camera
in hand, collecting images for his paintings.
